New Hesperia was an online forum that was launched in 2009. Featuring a simple, text-priority interface, and unambiguously user-centric terms of service, it soon became popular amongst its target userbase of the Perth experimental-arts scene, and within a few years grew to include many strange and largely-disconnected scenes from across the globe who were drawn to the free-for-all permitted by the forum's lack of content moderation. It was this hands-off administrative approach that was the forum's downfall however, and after multiple forum-hosted stalking cases had reached the courts, the forum was ordered shut in 2019 after it was unable to comply with any of the court-mandated changes.

After a change of ownership in 2020, New Hesperia was relaunched as a print-only zine and publisher of Western Australian outsider art. In 2025, the zine began retro-active online publication.
