The Apuntia project was suggested by Cossio in 2019 as a deliberate attempt at avoiding the delicate structure and low volume that had become his hallmark and it was therefore no surprise that it was poorly received. They only performed three concerts, which was far fewer than the number of rehearsals they self recorded, Apuntia being the first of these.
